Kier Property has lodged plans (ref. 2026/01975/PA) for 526 build-to-rent homes on the final two undeveloped plots of the Arena Central masterplan in Birmingham city centre. The proposal comprises two towers of 17 and 30 storeys with a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The application was submitted to Birmingham City Council in June 2026 and awaits determination.

Chords is a approved 1.2-acre, 695-unit co-living development by HUB located at Elephant Park in London's Elephant and Castle. Designed by AHMM and approved in March 2026, the project offers high-quality shared spaces, a new NHS health center, and integrated social rent homes, serving as the final phase of the Elephant Park regeneration

Three mid-rise blocks in the middle of Basildon, close to the railway station and forming part of the town's £600m regeneration programme. The scheme will deliver 492 homes in one- and two-bedroom layouts, with a gym, co-working space and five outdoor terraces. Basildon is roughly 35 minutes by train from central London. Starlight Investments acquired the scheme in November 2024 as part of a £500m deal covering three communities.

Mastmaker Village is a co-living-led redevelopment of Mastmaker Court on the Isle of Dogs, granted a resolution to approve by Tower Hamlets' planning committee in March 2026. A 42-storey tower holds 843 co-living homes, with studios from around 21 sq m, alongside a separate 27-storey building of 153 affordable homes — 87% of them for social rent, including more than 80 family-sized social homes. Shared provision includes a public park and landscaped public realm, a community hub, a café and co-working space open to the public, and a new home for London East Alternative Provision. Squire & Partners designed the scheme for site owner Pirin Limited with development partner Fifth State.

hase one of Newcastle’s largest multifamily scheme has reached its highest point, with the 11-storey, 292-home block on track for completion in December 2026. Developed by Hines and delivered by Olympian Homes, the site is located on the River Tyne and within the Forth Yards regeneration area. Phase two of the 325,000 sq ft project will comprise a six-storey, 227-apartment block set to be delivered in 2027, taking the total to 519 apartments. As well as a mix of one- and two-bed rental apartments, plans include around 10,000 sq ft of amenity space such as a gym, co-working facilities, two roof terraces, and private dining events space.

Spectra is a 34-storey build-to-rent tower on South Langworthy Road in Salford, close to MediaCity, delivering 393 rental homes across studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses. Amenities include a residents' lounge, fitness studio, co-working space, private dining room, media and games room and landscaped outdoor space. The tower, recognisable by its rose-gold facade, topped out in January 2026 with completion targeted for late 2026.

A two-tower scheme of 10 and 17 storeys on Flax Place, on the eastern edge of Leeds city centre near Kirkgate and the Arena Quarter. It will provide 300 homes in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts above 63 underground parking spaces, with a gym, yoga studio, cinema, residents' lounge, co-working space, bike store and two roof terraces. Torsion Group is building the scheme, which Starlight Investments bought in December 2024 and topped out in March 2026. Starlight has since branded it The Millworks, after the flax mills the street is named for.

Urban Centric purchased this City Centre site in the heart of Cardiff’s major regeneration area neighbouring Central Quay, Callaghan Square and Cardiff Central railway station. The development sits alongside the River Taff and will have spectacular 360 degrees views over the City Centre and Cardiff Bay. Planning Permission has been approved for ‘Plot A’ (subject to Section 106) and is set to comprise 182 apartments. The remaining 174 apartments are subject to a separate planning application. A 60-storey tower on Trinity Way beside the River Irwell, on the western edge of Manchester city centre and within walking distance of Spinningfields and Exchange Square. It will hold 532 homes in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, with an indoor pool, gym, co-working space, residents' lounges and an outdoor terrace. Owned by Starlight Investments, the tower topped out in January 2026.

A four-building rental scheme on Victoria Road in Ashford, between Victoria Park and the River Stour and a short walk from the town centre. It will provide 254 homes in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with a gym, co-working space, concierge and a sky lounge. Starlight Investments bought the site from Kings Crescent Homes, which delivered an earlier 143-home phase on the opposite side of the road; Antvic later took over as main contractor to finish the remaining buildings.

The 46-storey tower would be the tallest coliving scheme in the country. Under Olympian Homes’ Vivus Living brand, 833 studio apartments averaging 24 square meters will be spread across 46 storeys. Olympian plans to incorporate amenities throughout the building. Amenities will include commercial-sized gyms, spa and wellness space and lounge, dining and working areas, sky lounge and a cinema. Also planned for the co-living project are hotel-style accommodations, like private meeting and function rooms, a 24-hour concierge and room service.

The SoCo has submitted plans for Wood Street Studios, a co-living scheme on the former Crown Lea industrial site at 253 Wood Street, Walthamstow. Designed by ColladoCollins to WELL standards, the proposal comprises en-suite studios with kitchenettes, supported by resident lounges, a gym, co-working space and rooftop amenity.
