About

Bradford City Village is a major city-centre regeneration delivering up to 1,000 new homes across around 25 hectares of Bradford's 'Top of Town' and Darley Street area, led by Bradford Council and ECF (a partnership of Homes England, Legal & General and Muse). The mix spans Build-to-Rent apartments and affordable townhouses across three council-owned sites — Chain Street, the Oastler Centre and Kirkgate — delivered in phases. Phase 1 (construction from spring 2026) provides 97 affordable townhouses (33 at Chain Street and 64 at Oastler North), funded and managed by Incommunities. Later phases bring the Build-to-Rent element: around 400 apartments at Kirkgate (up to nine storeys) and around 380 at Oastler South (up to ten storeys), alongside new green spaces including Darley Park. Supported by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's Strategic Place Partnership.
