About
A proposed 53-storey build-to-rent tower at 42 High Street in Birmingham city centre, on the site of a former Marks & Spencer store opposite the Curzon Street HS2 station now under construction. Developer Bluecastle Capital's plans, designed by Squire & Partners and submitted in August 2026, comprise 729 rental apartments with ground-floor retail, opening up more than half of the 0.8-acre plot as publicly accessible space. At around 172 metres the tower would be Birmingham's tallest building.
